I love jewellery! I love the impact it can have on the simplest of outfits, the infinite possibilities of colours and textures, and its ability to convey the personality and tastes of the wearer. As soon as I put on a piece of jewellery it lifts my spirits and makes me feel special.
Every piece of callula jewellery is personally designed and individually handcrafted by me, Joanne Taylor, in my home workshop in rural Cheshire.
I take my design inspiration from the beauty of the surrounding countryside, the changes each season brings, and travel experiences to create a range of unique, contemporary, jewellery. The name callula means 'beautiful' in Latin, which is the pre-requisite for each design.
I use only high quality materials in my designs, including sterling/fine silver, gemstones, freshwater pearls and handmade glass beads by UK artists. Some pieces are entirely handcrafted in sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques.
